Self service checkouts.............Supermarkets - I already pay enough for my shopping, so why should I save you the cost of employing someone to put it through the checkout? Also, why shut the two 'basket only' tills at the busiest times of day? No wonder I end up binge drinking on supermarket own label booze - it's all a cunning marketing ploy - bastards!

I have to say,I love the self service checkouts. I can go in, get what I need, pack it in my own way and at my own speed and I don't have to talk to anyone.
Supermarkets are depressing places, and I'd rather not talk to anyone whilst there. I would do all my shopping online, but then I have to be i) awake (I'm a student, and therefore nocturnal) and ii) in the house when they deliver.

Mr. PicklesI totally agree. The last thing I want to do after a hard day of scienctistism is to talk to some obnoxiously cheerful till-monkey. I don't want a conversation, I just want to buy nourishment. And scotch eggs.
My fiancee tells me that calling them till-monkeys is very rude, and that I should apologise. But I won't.
