I used to think....that the reason my grandad was bald was because he got his hair shot off in the second world war.

Funnily enough,my paternal Granddad was in the merchant navy during the war. His ship was torpedoed by a submarine, and his hair immediately fell out from the fright.
So my Granddad actually did get his hair shot off in the second World War . . . :D
