I'm also going to try Safari but I think it is useless until they drop the mac OS X font rendering and move on to cleartype.

FF3 can be run with 2.what ever
Just install to another directory. DON'T install Safari, it has a load of problems. there has been a running bug list on the register.co.uk I tried it a while ago and it lasted about 2 days before it got removed because of fucking my system.

Safari 3.1 is a lot better

you can install them side by side
but your profile info may be messed up a bit
especially if you go from ff3 to ff2.
