At an awards ceremony for Legoland employees, winning staff were presented with little Lego likenesses. However, when 29-year-old Roy Jenkins received his figure, it was wearing a tiny blue sling in recognition of his withered left arm, the result of a teenage motorbike accident. Jenkins claimed that it left him depressed, reclusive and unable to work. He apparently claimed £14,000 for the humiliation and loss of earnings.
